🥣 No more feast and famine...
When I was freelance, I had clients who essentially decided whether I could pay my bills or not...
It was stressful. I don't think I ever had a regulated nervous system - it just became normal.
I quite often wrote funding bids to raise money and wrote my own fees into them - a constant gamble.
I aimed for £2k months every month but often times £6k would hit my bank account but I wouldn't know when I was being paid again so I would cling onto it.
Looking at my toddler one day as I dropped him off at school, us both in tears - I felt something I hadn't felt before - SPACIOUS. Like I'd cried all the tears, felt all the feeling, was SICK off all the rejection.
I got really serious about surrender, experimentation and journalling my heart out...
I would have given anything to be home with him. Then the pandemic hit. Oh.
The same week we were thrown into national lockdown, I found out I was pregnant with my daughter. My husband wasn't allowed to come to the scans or in the end be at her birth.
That's truly why I got obsessed with multiple income streams because I was building for a world I couldn't understand wholeheartedly focussed on being held and security.
(I currently have 10).
Building them helped me see income in new ways, get expansive about what was possible and I hit my first £100k year (in 2024).
It also helped me heal from what I think had become quite toxic relationship with being paid, money and managing my income and taxes...

Some of this work is energetic, some of it's maths, some of it's skill. There's also fun, joy, discernment and showing up. I LOVE the work I do.
