Wishes while you sleep - a gratitude exercise

Wishes while you sleep by Danielle Slade

As we take a deep breath at the end of the day and our work is done.

Working with a prompt/s to create small poems you can write up on nice card to leave under or inside your child's pillow, or even your own pillow.

These could be wish poems? Recaps of the day? Thoughts? Dream catching?

Find an envelope where you can write the wish poem on the front, each night pop in something that you loved from that day, and something that you wish for for the next day. Keep them small and detailed specifically to today and tomorrow, rather than overwhelming yourself with big wishes for life and beyond.

You can imagine placing this envelope under your child's pillow will help make your wish come true, and even open them with your child in the morning if they are at an age where they may understand.

Maybe you could do one for yourself? Or get your child to write one with you?
